Consolidated Pickup Ticket - Launch

Description:

Use this screen to launch the Consolidated Pickup Ticket program and enter equipment that needs to be picked up at a customer job site.

 

A consolidated pickup ticket stops further billing for all of the rental contracts on the ticket, so it is important to process the equipment return as quickly as possible after creating the pickup ticket, or cancel the pickup ticket.  After the return is processed, billing will resume (from the point of the last billing) for any items on the pickup ticket that were not returned.

Navigation

This is the first screen in the Consolidated Pickup Ticket program.  Enter a customer or a job for which you want to create a consolidated pickup ticket, and then press Enter to proceed to the Consolidated Pickup Ticket Selection screen.  If you want to create a pickup ticket for only one rental contract, press F7 to switch to the Create Pickup Ticket program.

 

You can also inquire on pickup tickets or delete pickup tickets from this screen.

Fields

Customer number or name

Enter the account number or the name (or the Search Word) of the charge customer.  If you do not know the name or the number, press F4 while in this field to access Customer Search.

 

If you know the first letter of the customer's name, type it in the field and press Enter to access Customer Search and display a list of customers whose names (first or last) contain that letter.  For example, type H and press Enter and the list in Customer Search would show both Baker Hardware and Hillcrest Electric.  The list would then continue with customers whose names started with the subsequent letters of the alphabet such as I and J in our example.

 

Job number

Optionally, enter the number of the job for which you are creating the pickup ticket.

 

Pickup date

Enter or accept the date for the pickup.

 

Pickup time

Enter or accept the time for the pickup.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F5

Refresh.  Refresh the screen and remove entered data.

F7

Pickup by Contract Number.  Switch to the Create Pickup Ticket by contract number program.

F16 (Shift + F4)

Pickup Ticket Inquiry.  Switch to the Pickup Ticket Inquiry program.

F23 (Shift + F11)

Delete Pickup Ticket.  Switch to the Delete Pickup Ticket screen where you enter the number of the pickup ticket you want to delete.

F24 (Shift + F12)

More.  Display more available function keys for the program.
