Description:
Use this screen to launch the Create Pickup Ticket program and create a pickup ticket for a single contract only.
A pickup ticket stops further billing for the rental contract on the
ticket, so it is important to process the equipment return as quickly
as possible after creating the pickup ticket, or cancel the pickup
ticket. After the return is processed, billing will resume (from
the point of the last billing) for any items on the pickup ticket
that were not returned.

Access this program by pressing F7 from the Consolidated Pickup Ticket program. If your system is not set up for consolidated pickup tickets, you will come directly to this screen from the Pickup Ticket option on the Operations menu. This program allows you to create a pickup ticket for a single contract. Enter the customer name or number, and then enter a contract number or equipment number to proceed to the next screen in the program. If you only enter a customer number, you are advanced to the Open Equipment by Customer screen to select which equipment to put on the pickup ticket.
You can also inquire on pickup tickets or delete pickup tickets from this screen.

Fields
Enter the account number or the name (or the Search Word) of the charge customer. If you do not know the name or the number, press F4 while in this field to access Customer Search.
If you know the first letter of the customer's name, type it in the field and press Enter to access Customer Search and display a list of customers whose names (first or last) contain that letter. For example, type H and press Enter and the list in Customer Search would show both Baker Hardware and Hillcrest Electric. The list would then continue with customers whose names started with the subsequent letters of the alphabet such as I and J in our example.
Enter the number of the rental contract for which you want to create a pickup ticket.
Optionally, you can enter the number of the equipment on the contract that is being picked up.
Enter the name of the customer contact who requested the pickup.
Enter or accept the date of the rental pickup. This is the date that the rental contract will stop billing until the return is processed.
Enter or accept the time of the rental pickup.
Indicate if this pickup is for the purposes of exchanging equipment. See the Equipment Exchange topic for more information on equipment exchanges.
