Exchange - Launch

Description:
Use this screen to launch the Exchange Equipment program where you can exchange equipment on an open rental contract.
This program only exchanges equipment. If the rental rates change
due to the exchange, you must use the Update
Rental program to adjust the rates on the contract.
Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.
Navigation
Access this program from the Operations menu. If your system is set up to require a user name and password to use this program, enter that information first.
To begin an equipment exchange, enter a rental contract number. If you are not exchanging all equipment on that rental contract, you can also put in an equipment number or a pickup ticket number to specify what is being exchanged. The program advances to the Equipment Exchange screen where you select the equipment being exchanged and view any sales items that have not been invoiced.
If you want to process a wireless equipment exchange, click F9=Wireless Exchange. Enter the rental contract and sequence for the exchange, and then press Enter.

Fields
Enter the number of the rental contract for which the customer is exchanging equipment.
Optionally, enter the number of the equipment the customer is exchanging.
Optionally, enter the number of a pickup ticket that was previously entered to pick the equipment up from the customer.
Enter the actual date of the exchange. If you enter a date that is earlier than the last billed through date, a warning message appears, and you must determine if you need to issue credit to the customer.
Enter the actual time of the exchange.

Scan. Open the Bar Code Entry popup window to allow entry or scanning of a bar code number for equipment returned. |

Exit. Exit the page or program. |

Search. Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen. |

Refresh. Refresh the screen and remove entered data. |

F9 |
Wireless Exchange. Switch to the Wireless Equipment Exchange screen to enter a contract and sequence number for processing a wireless equipment exchange. |

F12 |
Cancel/Previous. Exit the program or move back a screen. |
