Description:

Use this screen to launch the Sales Item Discount Maintenance program where you enter both quantity breaks and discounts for specific customers or for all customers. Item discounts can be entered for an entire stock class, for a particular item, for a customer/stock class combination, or for a customer/item combination.

This is the first screen for the Sales Item Discount Maintenance program. Use the F6-Toggle function key to change the fields on the screen to allow you to create sales item discounts by contract price number, or by customer, or by customer class/inventory class. You can set a start date and an end date for each discount you create. If the discounts should apply for an unlimited amount of time, leave the Start date blank, and accept 99/99/99 in the End date field.

Item Discount Entry

Fields

Contract Price Number

Enter the unique number assigned to a contract price list for which you want to create sales item discounts. A contract price list is a set of discounts that apply to one or more customers for a specified period of time. See Contract Price Maintenance for more information.

Customer Number

If applicable, enter the number of the customer for which you want to create sales item discounts.

Job Number

If applicable, enter the number of a customer job for which you want to create sales item discounts.

Customer Class

Enter the customer class code for which you want to create sales item discounts.

Inventory Class

If applicable, enter the inventory class code for which you want to create sales item discounts.

Stock Class

If applicable, enter a stock class for which you want to create sales item discounts.

Location

Enter the location for which you want to create sales item discounts. Leave this field blank if you want to create the same sales item discounts for all locations.

Item Number

If applicable, enter an item number for which you want to create a discount.

Start Date

If applicable, enter the date that the sales item discounts should go into effect. Leave blank to start the discounts today.

End Date

If applicable, enter the date that the sales item discounts should no longer be in effect. If there is no end date, enter 99/99/99.

Function Keys

Function Key	Description
F1	Help. Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field. Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.
F3	Exit. Exit the page or program.
F4	Search. Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.
F6	Toggle Customer/Class/Contract Price Number. Toggle the screen to allow for item discount maintenance by customer, by customer class/inventory class, or by contract price number.
F10	Inquiry. Change to INQUIRY mode.
F11	Maintenance. Change from INQUIRY mode to CHANGE mode.
F12	Cancel/Previous. Exit the program or move back a screen.
