Description:

Use this program to create a contract price number and to associate customers with it.  Use the Equipment Rental Rates Discount program to set the actual rates for the contract price number.

Navigation

Access this screen by entering a valid contract price number on the Contract Price Maintenance - Launch screen.  In this second screen, edit or maintain the contract price number.  You can set a date range for the effectivity of the contract pricing.  You can also add customers to the pricing, and if a customer has its own effectivity date range, you can enter that as well.

Description

1

Search.  Enter a 1 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Customer Search screen.

 

Fields

Contract price number

Displays the unique number assigned to the contract pricing.

 

Customer class

If applicable, enter the customer class to associate with this contract pricing.

 

Description

Enter the description of the contract pricing.

 

Start date

Enter the date that the contract pricing goes into effect.  If a start date is not entered for the customers who are added to this contract pricing, this start date is used.

 

End date

Enter the date that the contract pricing expires.  If an end date is not entered for the customers who are added to this contract pricing, this end date is used.

 

Tiered rates

Indicate whether this contract pricing is for a daily tiered rate structure, which is set up in Rental Rates Discount Maintenance.  A tiered-rate structure is based strictly on the number of days that equipment is out on rent.

 

Created by/on

Displays the name of the user who created the contract price number and the date on which it was created.

 

Last maintained/on

Displays the name of the user who last maintained the contract price number and the date of the maintenance.

Customer number

Enter the number of the customer you want to add to the contract pricing.  After you add a customer to the contract pricing, when you create a rental contract for that customer, the Contract Price Search screen displays, where you can select the appropriate contract price number for that rental transaction.

 

If you are entering a new customer for whom you have not yet entered jobs, when you create a job for that customer, this contract price number is automatically associated with that job.

 

Name

Displays the name of the customer chosen for the contract pricing.

 

Start date

Enter the date that the contract pricing goes into effect for this customer.  If a start date is not entered, the start date entered at the top of the screen is used.

 

End date

Enter the date that the contract pricing expires for this customer.  If an end date is not entered, the end date entered at the top of the screen is used.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F10

Inquiry Mode.  Switch the program to INQUIRY mode.

F11

Change Mode.  Switch the program back to CHANGE mode so that you can enter a contract price number and update it.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F13 (Shift + F1)

Clear Peak Usage.  For future use.
