Access this screen by entering option 8 from the Equipment Tracking program, or by pressing F20 (Shift + F8) from the Equipment Detail Inquiry program. Enter the details of the equipment's geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment., and then press Enter twice to save.
Equipment Number
Enter or accept the number of the equipment for which you are setting up a geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment..
Geofence
If you are creating the geofence from a pre-defined geofence code, enter that code. If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.
Landmark
If you are creating the geofence from a landmark record, enter that landmark. If you do not know the name, press F4 to search for it. Landmarks are created in Landmark Maintenance, and they can have their own geofences.
Location
If you are creating a geofence from a branch location, enter the location code. If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.
Customer
If you are creating a geofence from a customer location, enter the customer number. If you do not know the number, press F4 to search for it.
Job Number
If you are creating a geofence from a customer location, you must enter a job number to set the specific location. If you do not know the number, press F4 to search for it.
Equipment Centered
Indicate whether the geofence is equipment centered or location centered. If it is equipment centered, the geofence varies as the equipment moves. If it is location centered, the geofence is static to the landmark, location, or customer job.
