Use this program to set the default parameters for the GlobalTRACS feature that handles reporting on GPS-tracked equipment. The parameters include geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment. settings, alert codes, and escalation actions.
This
program is only accessible when Qualcomm
tracking enabled is set to Y
in control record QUALCM, and
Enable Equipment Tracking is set
to Y in control record TRACK1.

Access this program from the Cross Application Maintenance menu. Set up the default GlobalTRACS parameters by company and location. The program opens in INQUIRY mode. Enter the company and location for which you want to review the default parameters. If you want to maintain the record, press F11 to switch the program to CHANGE mode. Press F6 to switch to ADD mode and enter a new company/location parameters record.

Hours to Set Equipment Centered Geofence
Enter the amount of time to add to the equipment's rental out time to determine when that equipment's geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment. is set. In other words, if the geofence for a rented piece of equipment should be set 2 hours and 30 minutes after its rental out time, enter 02:30:00 (HH:MM:SS). This gives the equipment 2 hours and 30 minutes to get to the job site before its geofence is set for GPS tracking.
Enter the code that represents the priority for reporting the setting of the geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment. to the terminal. Valid codes are:

North/South Boundary Length (Miles)
Enter the length expressed in miles, or a fraction thereof, of the north/south boundary for the equipment geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment.. The valid range is from .32 to 600 miles.
East/West Boundary Length (Miles)
Enter the length expressed in miles, or a fraction thereof, of the east/west boundary for the equipment geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment.. The valid range is from .32 to 600 miles.
Enter the code that represents the type of alert to send once the equipment enters the geofenceVirtual geographic boundaries for GPS-tracked equipment.. Valid codes include:
01 - Ignore Completely
02 - Send with Next Scheduled Message
03 - Send Event Immediately
04 - Send Immediately and Stay Awake

Enter the name of the person who should receive the escalation action. For example, you might want to send an email to the branch manager every time a piece of equipment enters the geofence.
