Sales to Rental Transfer - Equipment Type Change

Description:

Use this screen to transfer a piece of equipment from the type of New to a type of Rental, which moves it into your rental inventory.  You can also transfer equipment from a type of Consignment or Floored to a type of New.

Navigation

On this screen, enter the equipment type into which you are transferring the equipment.  If there is a warranty for the equipment, enter its expiration date.  Depending on settings in control record RASTR3, the G/L Type field might be available for entry, and it might be required.

Fields

Equipment number

Displays the number of the equipment that you are transferring to your rental inventory.

 

Category

Displays the category to which the equipment belongs.

 

Class

Displays the class to which the equipment belongs.

 

Sub class

If applicable, this field displays the sub class to which the equipment belongs.

 

Item number

Displays the item number the system assigned to the equipment.  This can be the category and class IDs concatenated.

 

Category/class description

Displays the description of the category/class to which the equipment belongs.

 

Make

Displays the make (manufacturer's type) for the equipment.  For example, Case.

 

Model

Displays the manufacturer's model for the equipment.  For example, Cutter 1000.

 

Model year

Displays the year that model was manufactured.

 

Serial number

Displays the unique serial number assigned to this piece of equipment.

Current location

Displays the location where the equipment is physically.

 

Assigned location

Displays the location where this equipment is being put into rental availability.

 

Last location

Displays the location where the equipment was found prior to its current location.

 

Date acquired

Displays the date that you acquired this piece of equipment.  If you are using the Purchasing application, and you entered and received a purchase order for this equipment, the date of receipt automatically populates this field.

 

Type

Displays the code that represents the current type for the equipment.

 

To type

Enter the code that represents the new type for the equipment.  If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.

 

G/L type

Displays the general ledger type currently assigned to the equipment.

 

To G/L type

If this field is not protected in control record RASTR3, enter the new G/L type for the equipment.  If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.

 

Debit G/L number

Displays the general ledger account number that is debited for the amount of this transfer.

 

Credit G/L number

Displays the general ledger account number that is credited for the amount of this transfer.

 

Cost

Displays the cost of the equipment.  If you are using the Purchasing application, and you entered and received a purchase order for this equipment, the purchase cost automatically populates this field.

 

Replacement cost

Displays the cost to replace the equipment.  This information comes from the equipment master record.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F5

Refresh.  Refresh the screen and remove entered data.

F7

Reservation Number/Category-Class Number Toggle.  Toggle between displaying the item's category/class number and its rental reservation number.

F8

Item Number Toggle.  Toggle the Item number field to Manufacturer's item number or UPC number.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F24 (Shift + F12)
