Equipment Entry

Description:
Use this program to enter physical inventory counts by tag number for equipment you have on hand.

Navigation
Review equipment and tags that have already been entered. If necessary, use F8 or F9 to delete equipment from the count. You cannot delete equipment that is not in your location, and you cannot delete a tag number that is not in your tag range. Enter new counts for equipment at the bottom of the screen by entering the equipment number and the tag number. If you enter a tag number that has already been entered, you will receive either a warning or a hard halt message depending on how your system is set. If you receive a hard halt, and you have the appropriate security code set up in your user profile, you can use F10 to override the hard halt. This override would be necessary if you need to change the equipment number on a tag that was already entered.
Fields
Displays the number of the equipment entered on the physical inventory tag.
Displays the number of the physical inventory count tag that was entered.
Displays the manufacturer of the equipment from the equipment master record.
Displays the manufacturer's model for the equipment from the equipment master record.
Displays the equipment's serial number.
Displays the location where the equipment is currently located.
Displays a code that represents the current status of the equipment such as A for Available.
Enter the number of the equipment counted for the physical inventory tag.
Enter the number of the physical inventory tag. If the tag number has already been entered, a warning message or a hard halt message displays depending on how your system is set. If you need to correct a tag that was entered, and you receive a hard halt message, and you have the appropriate security code in your user profile, press F10 to override the hard halt.

Override Tag Halt. If the system is set to return a hard halt message when a tag number is entered twice, and you have the appropriate security code in your user profile to override the hard halt, press F10. |
