Description:

This screen displays the status of parts and sales item quantity availability by location.

 

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

 

 

Navigation

Access this screen by entering a 2 in the Option field on many of the Parts/Merchandise Search results screens.  On this screen, use the available options to drill down to more detail for each record listed.

 

Change the currency code at the top of the screen to review the item's prices, costs, and quantity breaks in a different currency.

Description

Select.  Enter 1 in the O (Option) field to advance to a view-only version of Sales Item Location Maintenance.

Location Maintenance.   Enter 2 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Sales Item Location Maintenance program.

9

Truck Stock Detail.  Enter 9 in the O (Option) field to access the Truck Stock popup window where you can review availability of the parts in stock on service trucks.

Fields

Item/part number

Displays the item number for which you are checking location availability.

 

Stock class

Displays the stock classCode used to categorize sales items for analysis and reporting. You may choose to make the stock class a subset of the vendor code. associated with the item number.

 

Manufacturer's ID number

Displays the number assigned to this item by the manufacturer.

 

List price

Displays the manufacturer's suggested list price for the item.  This amount is not used for invoicing; it may be used for calculation of cost or selling price based on the codes assigned for auto calculations.

 

Sell price

Displays the retail price normally charged for this item.  In the event there are no discounts or other pricing codes assigned for the transaction, this is the price the system uses when this item is being sold.

 

Unit of measure

Displays the code that represents the smallest unit of measure in which this item is sold, purchased, or stocked.

 

2nd unit of measure/quantity

Displays the code that represents the second unit of measure in which this item is sold, purchased, or stocked.  This field also displays the quantity of items in the first unit of measure that is equivalent to one unit in this second unit of measure.

 

3rd unit of measure/quantity

Display the code that represents the third unit of measure in which this item is sold, purchased, or stocked.  This field also displays the quantity of  items in the first unit of measure that is equivalent to one unit in this third unit of measure.

 

Usual vendor

Displays the number of the vendor from whom you usually purchase this item.  This is the vendor used on reorder and analysis reports for this item.

 

Display Costs (F19)

 

Cost

Displays the last or most current cost of this item.  This field is automatically updated when the item is received against a purchase order in the system.

 

Average

Displays the average cost of the item, which is calculated as the total cost of all items received divided by the quantity of items received.

 

Last cost update

Displays the date of the last time the Cost field was updated by the system.

 

Quantity Breaks

Displays quantity breaks that were set up for this item in Sales Item Discount Maintenance.

 

Quantities List

 

Location

Displays the code for the location where the available quantities are found.

 

Available

The total quantity available for the item.

 

Reserved/Sales Order

The quantity on reservations or sales orders.

 

Open PO

The quantity of the item on open purchase orders.

 

Customer back order

The quantity that is on back order to the customer because it was not available at the time it was ordered.

 

Transfer in

The quantity on incoming transfers to this location.  This field is updated via Create, Update, or Receive Transfers.

 

Transfer out

The quantity transferred out, but not yet received in the destination location.

 

On truck

The quantity located on service trucks.  Use option 9-Truck Stock to determine which trucks the equipment is on.

 

Open rent

The quantity on rental contracts.  This field is updated via Create Rental, Update Rental, Partial Return, Full Return, or Exchange Equipment.

 

Open work order

The quantity on open work orders as repair parts or items to sell.

Order date

The most current sales order date for this item.

 

Sold YTD

The quantity of this item that has been sold year-to-date.

 

Sold last year

The quantity of this item that was sold in the last year.

Description

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F6

Sales History.  Advance to the Sales Item History program.

F7

Toggle Manufacturer/Supplier Number.  Toggle the MFG ID # field to Supplier #.

F8

Quantity Breaks.  Advance to a view-only version of Sales Item Discount Maintenance.

F9

Item Inquiry.  Advance to a view-only version of Sales Item Maintenance.

F10

PO History.  Advance to the Purchase Order Item History program.

F11

Bin Location.  Display a second line of detail for each location record that shows quantities in specific bin locations.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F13 (Shift + F1)

Serial Number.  For serial tracked items, open the Serial Number Lookup Window to view a list of serial numbers for the item.

F14 (Shift + F2)

Toggle Quantity Breaks.  For future use.

F15 (Shift + F3)

Open Transactions.  Advance to the Open Reservations for Item program.

F16 (Shift + F4)

Equipment Inquiry.  For items marked as type E-Equipment, advance to a view-only version of Equipment Maintenance.

F19 (Shift + F7)

Displays Costs.  Display the item's costs in the Cost and Average fields at the top of the screen.

F20 (Shift + F8)

Toggle: Location/Quantity.  Toggle the location list between showing all locations for the item and showing only locations with quantities.

F22 (Shift + F10)

Cross Reference.  Open the Item Cross Reference Lookup window.  Cross reference items are set up in Sales Item Cross Reference Maintenance.

 

Press F8-Toggle within the Item Cross Reference Look-up popup window to view substitute items.

F24 (Shift + F12)

More.  Display more available function keys for the program.
