This is the results screen when you choose to search for parts/merchandise by catalog items. You can build a catalog of vendor parts from a flat file the vendor sends you, and you can search that catalog using this option. If you order any part from the catalog that you do not normally stock, the system automatically creates an item master record for the item and uses the G/L category and PME code entered in the Price Definition Maintenance program for the vendor's flat file price list.

Access this screen by entering 8 in the Option field on the Parts/Merchandise Search screen. Use the available options to drill down to more detail for each record listed. Use the filters above the columns to focus the results list on only the records you want to review.
By Catalog Items
Displays the unique number assigned to the part or sales item (merchandise) for the catalog.
Displays the stock classCode used to categorize sales items for analysis and reporting. You may choose to make the stock class a subset of the vendor code. associated with the item.
Displays the description of the item.
Displays the item's list price from the catalog.
Displays the code for the currency of the list price.
Displays the code for the prefix appended to the beginning of the item for the catalog. See the Update Items from Vendor Price List topic for more information.
Displays the number of the primary vendor for this item.
