Use this screen to enter a new equipment hold request. When equipment is on hold, the name of the person/customer for whom it is on hold displays in the Status field for the equipment on the Equipment Search - By Equipment Number screen.

Access this screen by pressing F6 or by entering options 2 and 5 on the Equipment Hold Request Maintenance - Launch screen. Enter or change the details of the hold request such as the category/class, equipment number, customer, and hold period, and then press Enter twice to save.

Enter or accept the IDs of the category and class of the equipment that you want to put on hold.
Displays the description of the category/class.
Enter the number of the equipment to put on hold.
Displays the information found in the Miscellaneous field for the equipment in the Equipment Maintenance program.
If applicable, enter the number of the charge customer for whom you are placing the equipment on hold.
If applicable, enter the state code and driver's license number of the cash customer for whom you are placing the equipment on hold.
If you are not placing the equipment on hold for a charge or cash customer, enter the name of the person for whom it is going on hold.
Enter the start and end dates for the hold period.
Enter the reason for placing the equipment on hold. This is a free-form field.
Displays the location where the equipment is on hold.
