Class Description MaintenanceUse this program to set up and maintain inventory item classes. An inventory class code is assigned to an item to categorize it for analysis and reporting purposes, and it can also be used when setting up discount pricing for sales items.

Access this screen by entering a new or existing inventory class code on the Inventory Class Description Maintenance - Launch screen. Enter a long and short description for the inventory class, and then press Enter to save the record.

Inventory Class Description Maintenance
Displays the code of the inventory class you are maintaining.
Enter the full description of the inventory class.
Enter a brief description of the inventory class that appears on display screens and reports.
Displays the date that the inventory class code was last maintained.
Displays the time that the inventory class code was last maintained.
Displays the user ID of the last person who maintained the inventory class code.
