Use this screen to launch the Inventory Class Description Maintenance program where you set up and maintain inventory item classes. An inventory class code is assigned to an item to categorize it for analysis and reporting purposes, and it can also be used when setting up discount pricing for sales items.

Access this program from the Cross Application Maintenance menu. Enter an existing inventory class code to maintain. If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it. If you want to add a new code, press F6=Add first to change the program to ADD mode, and then enter the inventory class code and press Enter to advance to the next screen.

Inventory Class Description Maintenance
