Use this screen to launch the Customer Master Maintenance program to create, update, or review a customer master record.
Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.
Access this program from the Rental File Maintenance menu or the Accounts Receivable Options menu. Enter a customer number that you want to review or update. If you do not know the customer number, press F4 to search for it. If you are creating a new customer, you can enter a number to assign to the customer, or leave the field blank and press Enter to assign the next account number based on control record NXTCUS. The newly assigned customer number displays after you have entered the entire master record, and it will display in the Last customer number field on this screen.
If you are reviewing or updating an existing customer, after you enter the account number, the main Customer Master Maintenance screen appears. If you create a new customer, after you press Enter, you are prompted for the customer's name and billing information. Add information and continue to press Enter through all of the customer master screens.

Enter the unique number assigned to the customer master record. If you do not know the customer number, press F4 to search for it. If you are creating a new customer, you can enter a number to assign to the customer, or leave the field blank and press Enter to assign the next account number based on control record NXTCUS.
Displays the number of the last customer accessed through this program. If you are creating a new customer and having the system automatically assign their account number, this field displays that assigned number at the end of the customer master entry process.
