Cycle Code Maintenance

Program/Screen: CCDYSM/CCDYSMC1

Description:

Use this screen to enter the description for the cycle code and to indicate the days within a cycle that items in the stock class or category/class that have been assigned the cycle code will be counted.

 

Example:  You have parts in a certain stock classCode used to categorize sales items for analysis and reporting. You may choose to make the stock class a subset of the vendor code. that you want to cycle count three times during a 30-day cycle that was established in Cycle Information.  Create a cycle code for PME type P (for parts), and enter Days to Cycle of 1, 15, and 29.  Assign your new cycle code to that stock class.

Navigation

Access this screen in CHANGE mode by entering an existing cycle type and cycle code on the Cycle Code File - Launch screen and pressing Enter.  Access this screen in ADD mode by pressing F6 from the Cycle Code File - Launch screen.  Enter or maintain the cycle code's description, and then enter the days within a cycle to count items that are assigned this code.

 

If you need more Days to Cycle fields than those provided on the main screen, press F7.  If you want to delete the cycle code, press F23 (Shift + F11) twice.

Fields

Cycle Type

Displays the code of the cycle type for which you want to add or maintain a cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted..  Valid codes include:

 

Cycle Code

Displays the cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted. that you want to add or maintain.

 

Description

Enter or maintain a brief description of the cycle code.

 

Last Maintained

Displays the date and time that the cycle code was last maintained.  The user who maintained the record is also displayed.

 

Created

Displays the date and time that the cycle code was created.  The user who created the record is also displayed.

 

Days to Cycle

Enter the days within a specified cycle that the items within the stock class or category/class assigned this cycle code will be counted.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F7

More.  Advance to a screen that allows for the entry of more Days to Cycle than the original screen.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F23 (Shift + F11)

Delete.  Delete the cycle code.
