Description:

Use this screen to enter or update the results of inspection tests.  Enter what happened when the test was performed and whether the equipment passed or failed the test.

Navigation

Access this screen after entering or updating header information for an inspection on the Open/Update/Close/Quick/Inquire Inspection - Header screen.  Enter the inspector's code, the date of the inspection, test results, and whether the equipment passed or failed the tests.  Press Enter to continue.

Fields

Inspection Number

Displays the number the system assigned to the inspection.  This field is blank when you are creating the inspection record.

 

Status

Displays the current status of the inspection.

 

Inspector

Enter or accept the code for the mechanic who performed the inspection.  If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.

 

Inspection Type

Displays the name of the inspection being performed.

 

Inspection Date

Enter or accept the date the inspection was performed.

 

Inspection Term

Displays the number of days until the next inspection of this type is to be performed.

 

Prolongation

Displays the number of days an inspection can be extended if it has expired.  This is set up in Inspection Type Maintenance.

 

Equipment Number

Displays the number of the piece of equipment being inspected.

 

Category/Class Number

Displays the category/class to which the equipment belongs.

 

Sequence

Displays the sequence number assigned to the inspection test.

 

Test Description

Displays a brief description of how to conduct the test.

 

Default

When updating or closing an inspection, enter the result for the test such as a measurement like 100 Kg.

 

Unit

Displays the unit of measure for the results of the test.  For example, if the test is related to weight, the unit might be LBS or KG.

 

Pass/Fail

When updating or closing an inspection, indicate whether the equipment passed (P) or failed (F) the test.

 

Text List

Enter the text list code for any additional text for the test.  Additional text prints on the inspection document.

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.
