A sales item's cross reference items display in a popup window when you are checking the item's availability by location in Parts/Merchandise Search - Availability by Location.

Access this screen by entering a sales item on the Sales Item Cross Reference - Launch screen, and pressing Enter. Enter one or more sales items that are cross references to the sales item you are working with. For each cross reference item, enter the vendor from whom that item is ordered. The cross reference items you enter are the same as the item you are working with, but they are ordered from different vendors.

Sales Item Cross Reference Maintenance - Substitute Items
Displays the item number for which you want to set up cross references.
Displays the stock class for the sales item.
Enter one or more sales item numbers that are cross reference itemSales item that is the same as another sales item, but is ordered from a different vendor.s for the item you are working with. If you do not know the item numbers, press F4 to search for them.
Enter the number of the primary vendor from whom the cross reference item is ordered.
Displays the name of the vendor you entered.
