Description:

Use this screen to review the alerts for GPS-tracked equipment.  Alerts are set up in Alert Escalation Maintenance.

Navigation

When you enter this program directly from the Additional Operations menu, it displays alerts for all tracked equipment, but you can narrow the list by date range or by using any of the filters above the columns for the list.  When you enter this program by entering a 2 in Option field for a particular piece of equipment in the Equipment Tracking program, it displays alerts only for that piece of equipment.  However, you can enter a different equipment number to view, and you can narrow the list by date range.

 

In either case, enter a 5 in the Option field for any alert record to advance to the Alert Detail screen.

Options

Option	Description
2	All Alerts.  Enter 2 in the O (Option) field to switch to the alert listing for just that piece of equipment.
3	Tracking.  Enter 3 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Tracking Detail Listing screen.
5	Detail/Display.  Enter 5 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Alert Detail screen.
6	Acknowledge.  Enter 6 in the O (Option) field to access the Acknowledge Alert popup window and enter a comment to acknowledge the specific alert record.
7	Ping.  Enter 7 in the O (Option) field to send a signal to the GPS tracking device on the equipment to pinpoint its position.

 

Fields

Equipment number

When you enter this program from Equipment Tracking you can enter or accept the number for the equipment for which you want to see alerts.  When you enter this program from the menu, you see alerts for all tracked equipment, and the equipment number displayed in the list cannot be changed.

 

From Date

Enter a starting date for a range of dates for which you want to see alerts.

 

To Date

Enter an ending date for a range of dates for which you want to see alerts.

 

Acknowledgement

Indicate if you want to see all acknowledged alerts (Y), all unacknowledged alerts (N), or both (B).

 

Category/Class

Displays the category/class number and description for the equipment alerts you are reviewing.

Status

Displays the current status of the equipment.  Valid codes include:

• A - Available

• D - Down - Long Term

• N - Down - Short Term

• R - Down - Wash Rack

• I - In Transit

• J - Junked

• M - Missing

• O - On Rent

• P - On Rental Purchase

• K - On Truck

• U - Pick-up

• V - Returned to Vendor

• S - Sold

• T - Stolen

 

Make

Displays the manufacturer's make for the equipment.

 

Model

Displays the manufacturer's model for the equipment

 

Alert Type

Displays a code that indicates the type of alert for the record.

 

Date

Displays the date of the alert.

 

Time

Displays the time of the alert.

 

Latitude

Displays the latitudinal reading for the location of the equipment at the time of the alert.

 

Longitude

Displays the longitudinal reading for the location of the equipment at the time of the alert.

 

GPS Date

Displays the GPS system date of the alert.

 

GPS Time

Displays the GPS system time of the alert.

 

Acknowledgement

Displays an indicator of whether the alert was acknowledged.

Function Keys

Function Key	Description
F1	Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.
F3	Exit.  Exit the page or program.
F4	Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.
F6	Ping.  Send a signal to the GPS tracking device on the equipment to pinpoint its position.
F7	Tracking.  Advance to the Tracking Detail Listing screen.
F9	Previous/Next Equipment Number.  Press F10 to advance to the next GPS-tracked equipment number.  Press F9 to move backward to the previous GPS-tracked equipment number.
F10
F11	Detail.  Advance to the Alert Detail screen for the alert record.
F12	Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.
F17 (Shift + F5)	Top/Bottom of List.  Press F18 to advance directly to the bottom of the alerts list.  Press F17 to return to the top of the list.
F18 (Shift + F6)
F21 (Shift + F9)	Equipment Listing.  For future use.
F24 (Shift + F12)	More.  Display more available function keys for the program.
