Phone Log - Work with Phone Calls

Description:

Use this screen to review all phone calls for one or more customers, and to choose individual calls to change, delete, display, print, or close.

 

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

 

 

Navigation

Access this screen by pressing F11=Work with Calls from the Phone Log - Enter Phone Calls screen.  Use the various options to work with the call records.  Print an individual call record with option 6, or print the whole list with F19 (Shift + F7).

 

Use the fields and the filters at the top of the screen to focus the list to only the records you want to review.

Options

Change.  Advance to the Enter Phone Calls screen in CHANGE mode where you can update the details of the call.

Delete.  Delete the selected call.  This is an immediate delete.  No confirmation message is displayed.

Display.  Advance to the Enter Phone Calls screen in INQUIRY mode where you can only view the details of the call.

Print.  Print just the selected call record to the printer specified at the top of the screen.

Close.  Mark the selected phone call record as closed.

 

Fields

Parameters

 

Reference Location

Enter the code for the location for which you want to review phone calls.

 

Category

Enter the equipment category for which you want to review phone calls.

 

Class

Enter the equipment class for which you want to review phone calls.

 

Printer

Enter or accept the name of the printer to which you want to send call records.

 

Call type

Enter the code that represents the type of calls that you want to review.

 

Call customer back (CB)

Enter Y to focus the list to phone calls marked as call customer back.

 

Lost rental (LR)

Enter Y to focus the list to phone calls marked as lost rental.

 

Employee

Enter or accept the employee whose phone call records you want to review.

From Log Date

Enter the start date for the range of phone call log creation dates to display in the list.

 

To Log Date

Enter the end date for the range of phone call log creation dates to display in the list.

 

From Required Date

Enter the start date for the range of phone call records with required dates in them.

 

To Required Date

Enter the end date for the range of phone call records with required dates in them.

 

List

 

Status

Displays the current status of the phone call record.  Valid codes include:

 

Date

Displays the date that the phone call record was created.

 

Time

Displays the time that the phone call record was created.

 

Customer

Displays the name of the customer to whom the phone call was made.

 

Equipment

Displays the number of the equipment referenced on the phone call record.

 

Job Location

Displays the customer job location referenced on the phone call record.

 

Function Keys

Description

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F5

Refresh.  Refresh the screen and remove entered data.

F11

Fold.  Display or hide a second line of detail for each phone call record in the list.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F17 (Shift + F5)

Top.  Return directly to the top of the list of phone calls.

F18 (Shift + F6)

Bottom.  Advance directly to the bottom of the list of phone calls.

F19 (Shift + F7)

Print.  Print the list of phone calls to the printer specified at the top of the screen.
