Use this program to enter quantities and depreciation values for a particular lot of a category/classTwo-part classification for individualized and bulk equipment. Rental rates are entered by category/class, and the ID number for bulk items is the category/class ID..

Access this screen by pressing F7=Lot from the Category/Class Location Maintenance screen and entering a lot number to work with. Enter lot quantities and tax and depreciation values for a specific lot of a category/class. Choose the depreciation method for the lot for accounting and tax purposes.
Displays the location for which you want to review lot quantities and depreciation for a category/class.
Displays the code of the category you want to inquire on or change.
Displays the code of the class you want to inquire on or change.
Displays the lot number for which you are entering quantities and depreciation amounts.
Enter the quantity of this lot that was made available to rent.
If applicable, enter the quantity from this lot that has been retired up to this point in the life of the lot.
The difference between the Original quantity and the Retired quantity.
Fiscal Depreciation Coefficient
Enter or accept the coefficient used for fiscal depreciation for this equipment if it is using the degressif tax depreciation method. The coefficient defaults from the Equipment Fiscal Depreciation Coefficient table.
Enter the book value for the lot. The book value is the original value of the lot used for accounting.
Enter the salvage value for the lot. Salvage value is the estimated value of all of the assets in the lot at the end of their useful lives. This amount is expressed as a value or a percent of original value.
Enter the net book value for the lot. The net book value is the book value of the lot minus any depreciation that has occurred.
Select the code that represents the method of depreciation you want to employ for accounting purposes.
Enter the life of the lot in months.
When bringing in a new lot, enter the current depreciation (if any) for the lot. Later, the amount in this field is updated when you run monthly depreciation in the General Ledger application.
Book Depreciation (Year to Date)
When bringing in a new lot, enter the year-to-date depreciation (if any) for the lot. Later, the amount in this field is updated when you run monthly depreciation in the General Ledger application.
Book Depreciation (Life to Date)
When bringing in a new lot, enter the life-to-date depreciation (if any) for the lot. Later, the amount in this field is updated when you run monthly depreciation in the General Ledger application.

Enter the net alternative minimum tax value for the lot. The net AMT value is the AMT value of the lot minus any depreciation that has occurred.
Select the code that represents the method of depreciation you want to employ for AMT purposes.
