Navigation

Access this screen by pressing F8=Insurance from the Equipment Maintenance main screen.  Enter insurance information, and then press Enter to return to Equipment Maintenance.

Fields

Equipment number

Displays the unique number of the equipment you are adding or updating.

 

Serial number

Displays the unique serial number assigned to this piece of equipment.

 

Alternate equipment number

Enter an alternate unique number for the equipment (perhaps from a legacy software system).  You can use this number to retrieve this piece of equipment during transaction entry.

 

Type

Enter the code that represents whether this equipment is a vehicle or not.

 

Insured value

Enter the amount for which you have insured the equipment.

 

Comprehensive amount

Enter the amount of comprehensive coverage you have on the equipment.  Comprehensive insurance is coverage that pays to repair or replace the equipment if it is damaged due to fire, vandalism, or weather.

 

Collision amount

Enter the amount of collision coverage you have on the equipment.  Collision insurance is coverage that pays to repair or replace the equipment in the event of a collision.

 

Premium

Enter the total insurance premium amount you pay to insure this equipment.

 

Public liability and property damage only

Indicate whether you only have public liability and property damage insurance.  This field must be set to Y if you do not have entries in the Comprehensive amount and Collision amount fields.

 

User-defined fields

Enter any user-defined information in these fields to be used for reporting and queries.

 

Comment

Enter a brief comment about the insurance you have on this equipment.

Description

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F23 (Shift + F11)

Delete.  Delete the current record.  Press F23 again to confirm the deletion.
