Use this option to enter, update, and review cash customer master records.

This is the second or third screen for the Cash Customer Maintenance program. If you are updating an existing customer, this screen appears after the Launch screen. Enter details for the customer and use the function keys to enter additional information like international phone numbers and sales representative split commission details.

Cash Customer Maintenance
Displays the state and number of the customer's driver's license.
Enter or accept the current status of the cash customer. Valid codes include:
A - Active
S - Suspended
H - On Hold
B - Bad Debt
D - Deleted
Displays the date of the last transaction for this customer.
Enter the customer's name in the format: last name, first name.
Enter the first line of the customer's address. This is generally the street address.
If applicable, enter the second line of the customer's address. This is generally a suite or building number.
Enter the customer's city for their main address.
Enter the customer's state for their main address.
Enter the customer's postal code for their main address.
The tax district code for this customer. If you are integrated with a tax software package, the district is determined from the customer's postal code.
Enter the customer's main business phone number with area code.
Enter the code for the sales representative assigned to this customer.
Enter the number from the customer's car license plate.
Enter the state of the customer's car license plate.
Enter the customer's date of birth in the format: mm/dd/yyyy.
Enter the customer's social security number in the format: xxx-xx-xxxx.

Optionally, enter a number or code as a second form of identification for the customer.
Identification expiration date
Enter the expiration date for the customer's second form of identification in the format: mm/yy.
Enter the name of the customer's employer.
Enter the phone number where the customer works.
Indicates whether to charge taxes on sales amounts (non-rental amounts) for this customer. If taxes will be charged, enter Y. If they will not be charged, press F4 to search for the applicable reason code for not charging taxes.
Indicates whether to charge taxes on rental contracts for this customer. If taxes will be charged, enter Y. If they will not be charged, press F4 to search for the applicable reason code for not charging taxes.
If the customer is tax exempt for resale reasons, enter their resale number.
If a non-collectible check is received from this customer, enter the date of receipt in this field. If a cash invoice is marked as U - Uncollected, the system will automatically enter the date here. You can remove this information when the invoice has been paid, or leave it here and the system will overwrite it with the next occurrence of an uncollected invoice. The system also marks the cash customer account as H -On Hold so no further rentals or sales can be processed; but credit memos are allowed.
If a non-collectible check is received from this customer, enter the amount of the check in this field. If a cash invoice is marked as U - Uncollected, the system will automatically enter the amount here.
If a non-collectible check is received from this customer, enter the number of the associated invoice in this field. If a cash invoice is marked as U - Uncollected, the system will automatically enter the invoice number here.
Indicate whether to calculate damage waiver for rentals to this cash customer. Damage waiver is only charged if this field is set to Y and the rental item has a damage waiver percent assigned to it.
Enter a code to place this customer into a standard industry classification. This setting is useful when sending out marketing information that you want to apply to a specific industry such as contractors or carpenters. Use control record SICRQD to make this a required field.
Enter a user-defined code to indicate how this customer heard about your company.
Optionally, enter the customer's bank account number.
Displays the total revenue earned from this customer for rentals.
Displays the total revenue earned from this customer for sales other than rentals.
Enter descriptive comments for this customer that are for internal use only.
