Use this screen to launch the Alternate Language Description Maintenance program where you enter one or more alternate language translations for system key fields and miscellaneous codes for when they show up in Search windows. For example, certain miscellaneous codes are hard-coded in the system in English (ENU). Use this program to translate those codes into the languages used by your organization, so that when users press F4 in a program to see a list of available codes, they see the code descriptions in their own language.
Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.
Access this screen from the International menu in the System File Maintenance application. Enter the code of the language into which you want to translate key fields or miscellaneous codes, and then enter the code for the file that contains the key fields or miscellaneous codes. If you do not know either code, press F4 in the appropriate field to search for it. Press Enter to advance to the maintenance screen.
