Description:

Use this screen to enter the items for a sales quote.

 

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

 

 

Navigation

This is generally the third or fourth screen for the Create/Update Sales Quote program.  At the top of the screen, enter the numbers of the sales items being quoted.

 

After you have entered all items for the quote, press Enter twice to advance to the Create/Update Sales Quote - Review screen to check all of your entries before generating the record.

Options

Option

Description

1

Search.  Enter 1 in the Opt (Option) field to advance to Part/Merchandise Search and search for a sales item to enter on the quote.

Detail.  Enter 2 in the Opt (Option) field to advance to the Sales Item Detail screen.

3

History.  Enter 3 in the Opt (Option) field to advance to the Sales Item History program.

Quantity.  Enter 4 in the Opt (Option) field to advance to Part/Merchandise Search and review available quantities for sales items.

Sales Messages.  Enter 6 in the Opt (Option) field to review messages that exist for the sales item.

7

Suggested Items.  Enter 7 in the Opt (Option) field to add a Suggested Items section to the screen that displays any items that are suggested to be sold with the entered item.

Re-price.  Enter 8 in the Opt (Option) field to change the item price back to the original price after you have made changes to it.

Free.  Enter 9 in the Opt (Option) field to set the item to zero cost.

Price Override.  Enter 99 in the Opt (Option) field to open the Override Price Authorization popup window.  Enter your password that allows you to override prices on a sales quote.

Fields

Item number

Enter the unique number assigned to the sales item that you want to add to the quote.  If you do not know the number, enter 1 in the Option field to the left to search for it.

 

Ship Quantity

Enter the quantity to quote for the sales item.

 

Unit of Measure

Accept or change the unit of measure for the sales item.

 

Description

Displays the description of the sales item.

 

Regular Price

Enter or accept the price to quote for the sales item.

 

Sold Price

Displays the quoted price of the item, minus any discounts.  If discounts have been applied, this amount displays in pink, and a D appears to the left of the item number.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F2

Scan.  Access the Bar Code Entry screen to enter or scan bar code information for the equipment.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F8

Item Number/Mfg Number/UPC Number.  Toggle among item number, manufacturer's number, and UPC number for sales items.

F10

Order Comments.  Access the Order Comments screen.

F11

Display Extended.  Display a second line of detail for each sales item that shows the extended sales amount.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F16 (Shift + F4)

Select All.  Select all items and advance to the Sales Item Detail screen.  Work with the first item and press Enter to advance to the next item in the detail screen.  Continue these steps until you have worked with or reviewed every item on the sales quote.

F17 (Shift + F5)

Top of List.  Return directly to the top of the list of sales items.

F18 (Shift + F6)

Bottom of List.  Advance directly to the bottom of the list of sales items.

F23 (Shift + F11)

More Options.  Display more options at the top of the screen.

F24 (Shift + F12)

More Keys.  Display more available function keys for the program.
