Equipment Maintenance Steps - Launch

Description:

Use this screen to launch the Equipment Maintenance Steps program where you add work steps to either a category/class or to a specific piece of equipment.  Work steps are created in the Step Description Maintenance program.

 

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

 

 

Navigation

Access this screen from the Equipment Maintenance menu.  The program opens in CHANGE mode.  Enter a category/class or an equipment number for which you want to add or change maintenance steps.  If you do not know the category/class ID or the equipment number, place your cursor in the appropriate field and press F4 to search for the number.  You can also use the Page Up and Page Down keys to roll through the equipment maintenance steps file.

 

Press F21 (Shift + F9) to copy maintenance steps from one category/class or equipment to another.  Use F6 to access Step Description Maintenance.

Fields

Category

If applicable, enter the ID of the category for which you want to add or change maintenance steps.  If you do not know the ID, press F4 to search for it.

 

Class

If applicable, enter the ID of the class for which you want to add or change maintenance steps.  If you do not know the ID, press F4 to search for it.

 

Sub Class

If applicable, enter the ID of the sub class for which you want to add or change maintenance steps.  If you do not know the ID, press F4 to search for it.

 

Equipment Number

If applicable, enter the number of the piece of equipment for which you want to add or change maintenance steps.  If you do not know the number, press F4 to search for it.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F6

Step Maintenance.  Advance to the Step Description Maintenance program.

F10

Inquiry.  Switch the program to INQUIRY mode.

F11

Change.  Switch the program to CHANGE mode.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F21 (Shift + F9)

Copy Steps.  Advance to the Equipment Maintenance Steps - Copy screen to copy maintenance steps from one category/class or equipment to another.

F24 (Shift + F12)

More.  Display more available function keys for the program.
