Use this screen to suspend a customer rental for a specified period of time (for a holiday or strike or other temporary delay), without the customer having to return the equipment. The suspended days are deducted from the total rental charges.
Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.
Access this screen by entering a user name and password on the Temporary Rental Suspension - Launch screen and pressing Enter; or by pressing F6, F10, or F23 (Shift + F11) from that same screen. Use the filters above the columns to focus the list on only the contracts you want to review for suspension.
In ADD mode, enter the date range for which you want to create temporary rental suspensions. Contracts that are "open" for suspension are listed. If a contract has already been cycle billed for a period that coincides with the entered date range, it is not considered "open" for suspension. It will become "open" for suspension that day after the last day of the cycle billed period. If equipment on a contract has already been suspended for any dates in the entered date range, that record in the list is displayed in pink.
Enter a code for the reason for the suspensions; and then enter a 1 next to the rental contracts you want to suspend for the specified time period.
If you enter
a suspension code that has its Holiday
Suspend setting marked as Y,
you can use this program to create a rental suspension that applies
to all contracts for the entered date or date range. In this
situation, you can also leave the Blank
for all locs field blank to set the rental suspension for all
locations as well. For example, you may want to use this program
to create a rental suspension for Christmas for all contracts at all
locations. Enter the Date Range as the date of your Christmas
holiday for the year; enter a Suspension Reason code that has Holiday
Suspend marked as Y; ensure the Blank
for all locs field is blank; and then enter a 1
in the O (Option) field in
the blank list area below. When you press Enter,
a record displays in pink with the word ALL
in the Equipment Number, Customer Name, Location, and Job Number columns.
When that date occurs, any open rental contracts will experience
a temporary rental suspension automatically.
In DELETE mode, enter the date range for the temporary rental suspensions you want to delete, and then enter a 4 next to the suspension records you want to delete.
