Description:

Use this screen to review a list of marketing contacts for a customer.  The screen also provides the capability to edit an existing contact and create a new contact.

 

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

 

 

Navigation

This is the second screen of the Marketing Contact Maintenance/Customer Authorized User program.  It lists the existing contacts for the customer you entered on the launch screen.  You can edit, display, copy, and delete the existing contacts using the options at the top of the screen.  Press F6 to add a new contact.  Press F10 to export the list of contacts to a .TXT file.

 

Use the filters above the columns to focus the list on only the records you want to review.

Edit.  Enter 2 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Marketing Contact Maintenance screen and modify the contact record.

Copy.  Enter 3 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Marketing Contact Maintenance screen in Add mode with the selected contact record displayed.  Make changes to create a new record, and press Enter twice to write the record.

Delete.  Enter 4 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Marketing Contact Maintenance screen in Delete mode.  Press F23 (Shift + F11) to finish deleting the contact.

Display.  Enter 5 in the O (Option) field to advance to the Marketing Contact Maintenance screen in Inquiry mode to view the contact record.

Jobs/Orders.  Enter 8 in the O (Option) field for a contact marked as an authorized user (contact type AU) to advance to the Assign Customer Job screen to review the jobs to which that contact is currently assigned.

Print Barcode.  Enter 9 in the O (Option) field for a contact marked as an authorized user (contact type AU) to print barcode labels for the contact.

Fields

Customer Number

Displays the number of the customer who has the marketing contacts.

 

Type

Displays the marketing contact type, which is a user-defined code.  Type AU-Authorized User is used by the Tracker application.

 

Name

Displays the name of the marketing contact.

 

Phone

Displays the phone number of the marketing contact.

 

Department

Displays the department where the marketing contact works.

 

Miscellaneous

Displays the miscellaneous code for the marketing contact.  The heading for this column (and field in Marketing Contact Maintenance) is user-defined and set in the CXMRK3 control record, so it may have a heading other than Miscellaneous in your system.

 

C1 (Customer Type Heading)

Displays the code for the customer type.  The heading for this column (and field in Marketing Contact Maintenance) is user-defined and set in the CXMRK2 control record.

 

C2 (Company Type Heading)

Displays the code for the company type.  The heading for this column (and field in Marketing Contact Maintenance) is user-defined and set in the CXMRK2 control record.

F1

Help.  Place your cursor in a field and press F1 to access online help for that field.  Place your cursor outside of any field, and press F1 to access online help at the program level.

F3

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F6

Add Contact.  Advance to the Marketing Contact Maintenance screen.

F7

Customer Toggle.  Toggle the mode of the screen from listing marketing contacts for a charge customer to listing them for a cash customer.

F10

Export File.  Bring up the Export to PC popup window where you can enter a folder name, document name, and file extension for exporting the list of contacts.

F11

Detail.  Display a second line of detail for each contact listed.

F12

Cancel/Previous.  Exit the program or move back a screen.

F24 (Shift + F12)

More.  Display more available function keys for the program.
