Message Master Maintenance/A/R Credit Letters Maintenance

Program/Screen: CSMSGM/CSMSGMC1

Description:

Use this screen to create or maintain safety messages that can be associated with category/classes and printed on rental contracts.  This same screen is also used to maintain A/R credit letters from the System File Maintenance menu.

Click a link to advance to that section of the topic.

Navigation

Access this program from the Cross Application Maintenance menu to work with safety messages.  Access it from the System File Maintenance menu to work with A/R credit letters.

For safety messages, enter the text of the message on each numbered line.  For A/R credit letters, add or modify the existing text or labels in the letters.  You can also add or modify the variables in the letters that return the customer-specific and transaction-specific data when the letters are actually processed and printed.

If you need to insert text between existing lines, enter that text on a blank line at the end of the message or letter, and then change the number of that line to fit numerically between the numbers of the existing lines where you want the text to appear.  Press Enter to insert your new line of text.  Press F5 to renumber all of the lines to the original numbering sequence.
