Use this program to add cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted.s to parts and merchandise stock classes for one or all locations.

Navigation

Access this program from the Physical Inventory menu in the Purchasing application.  In CHANGE mode, enter the location, stock classCode used to categorize sales items for analysis and reporting. You may choose to make the stock class a subset of the vendor code., and PME (Parts, Merchandise, Equipment) code for which you want to maintain the cycle code.  Press F6=Add to add a cycle code to a location and stock class.  If the cycle code is for all locations or all stock classes, leave those fields blank as appropriate.

Enter or accept the location for which you want to add a parts/merchandise cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted..  If you do not know the location, press F4 to search for it.  If you want the cycle code to apply to all locations, leave this field blank.

 

Stock Class

Enter the stock classCode used to categorize sales items for analysis and reporting. You may choose to make the stock class a subset of the vendor code. for which you want to add a parts/merchandise cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted..  If you do not know the stock class, press F4 to search for it.  If you want the cycle code to apply to all stock classes, leave this field blank.

 

PME Code

Enter the appropriate PME (Parts, Merchandise, Equipment) code in conjunction with the stock class to which you want to apply a cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted..  Only codes P (Parts) and M (Merchandise) are allowed in this program.

 

Cycle Code

Enter the cycle codeCode that dictates the days within a count cycle that an item is to be counted. you want to apply to the stock class.  If you do not know the code, press F4 to search for it.

 

Minimum Monetary Value

If appropriate, enter the minimum monetary value of items in the stock class that you want to include in cycle counting using this cycle code.

 

Maximum Records

If appropriate, enter the maximum number of items in the stock class to be cycle counted each time using this cycle code.  For example, if you enter 20, when it is time to count items with this cycle code, only 20 items will print on the cycle count sheet.

F1

Exit.  Exit the page or program.

F4

Search.  Place your cursor in a searchable field and press F4 to access a lookup window or more advanced search screen.

F6

Add.  Switch the program to ADD mode and enter a new location/stock class/cycle code record.

F10

Inquiry.  Switch the program to INQUIRY mode.

F11

Change.  Switch the program back to CHANGE mode to maintain an existing location/stock class/cycle code record.
